Part of the Society's mission is to open real, physical temples where communities can gather for celebration and learning. The Society has had one temple since 2004 and hopes to open more as soon as clergy have been trained to run them.

Neimheadh an Srutha

Temple of the River is the first neimheadh (sanctuary, temple) of the Society. Located just blocks from St. Anthony Falls in snowy Minneapolis, MN (U.S.A.) this neimheadh is administered by an tSruith Andrew J. Jacob and is dedicated with great love to his students and all students of Gaelic polytheism, past and present.

Temple of the River is a bright, cozy temple hung with banners for Danu, Morríghan, and Lugh. The current space is part of an historic three-story house in a shaded, quiet neighbourhood. It is meant to be a place of peace for all Old Belief Society students and a home for celebrating the Seancreideamh.

Currently under construction is a new temple space on the same property, in the style of a traditional Irish cottage. The new cottage features real earth floors, a wood-burning stove and lots more space for dances, feasts and gatherings.

The strength of the Three Great Queens, the sweet smells of offerings, and the hospitality of our treasured students await visitors to this sacred place.
